**RESOLVED** 6/3/19 - Indexing errors due to abnormal overnight processing

SWAN Member Library Staff: We have received word that the indexing issues have been fixed. The example records members have provided to SWAN all appear to be searchable and are displaying properly in WorkFlows, and the fix was applied to an additional 2,800 affected records. If you continue to experience issues, please send in a ticket. Thank you for your patience while we worked to resolve this. SWAN Director's and Administrator's Quarterly Meeting - Agenda & Packet for 6/6 Posted

SWAN Member Library Staff: The reindexing report has concluded. This report has resolved the issues that occurred as a result of our overnight processing. This morning’s bibliographic/item editing freeze has been lifted. All normal cataloging activities may resume at this time. While the report has resolved the errors regarding item locks or ‘heading keys need to be indexed’ errors, searches in WorkFlows may rarely appear to display duplicate entries. **IMPORTANT** Temporary Bibliographic/Item Editing Freeze Effective Immediately

Good morning - We have pinpointed the cause of this morning's indexing errors, and SWAN needs to run a rebuild process to correct the problem. This will take just over an hour. To avoid any complications, please suspend all cataloging operations that involve bibliographic import or editing. This includes the adding and editing of item records and the "Load Bibs with Order Info" report step in the Acquisitions process. All other operations may continue as normal as the rebuild takes place. Thank you for your patience as we tackle this issue. We will inform you when the temporary freeze has been lifted.
