Aspen 26.04 release and Palace Project integration is live

SWAN strategic planning events

Hello SWAN member libraries & staff-- SWAN is in the process of developing its five-year strategic plan, and we invite you to contribute your input on the organization's future direction. There are three upcoming in-person events at different library locations with facilitated discussions led by SWAN Board members Ridgeway Burns (Itasca), Jennifer Cottrill (Midlothian), and Zach Musil (Tinley Park). MessageBee Scheduled Maintenance on April 18th

The MessageBee portal and notification service will be down for maintenance this coming Saturday, April 18th from 3:00 p.m. Central time for approximately 10 hours. This will affect access to the portal. SWAN has also rescheduled some weekend notifications to accommodate the downtime. All weekend notifications will be sent. Indexing issues in Aspen

Our indexes in Aspen are running slower than usual, due to the updates overnight to our Hoopla API. Changes to item availability (checked out and on shelf status) may not appear throughout the day, and changes to records or new records may not appear. The indexes in the catalog are currently running slow due to changes to the Hoopla APIs. We expect the indexes to catch up over the next 24-48 hours. Search, Holds, My Account, and other functionality are not impacted. Hoopla Enhancement in Aspen - Rollout April 13

Dear Member Libraries, We are writing to inform you that the rollout for the Hoopla Enhancement in the online catalog will begin tonight, April 13th. What's Changing Each library will have its own Instant collection, with settings visible and synchronized through Midwest Tape. Please note that any settings configured in Aspen will continue to override Midwest Tape settings. While this update changes how each library's collection is brought into Aspen, there will be no visible changes for patrons. Rollout Details No downtime is expected, and library services should remain uninterrupted throughout the transition. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to reach out.
