** Please forward to appropriate staff.** Good afternoon SWAN membership - In order to better serve our members and patrons, the SWAN Bibliographic Services team and the Cataloging Advisory Group have been working on a new set of guidelines for Blu-ray/DVD combo packs. The guidelines are similar to their previous version with some changes made to help our members better distinguish between combo pack records and records for their component parts, provide better visibility and transparency for our patrons, and improve bibliographic record matching based on UPC. Its behavior in Enterprise is detailed in the 590 Field: SWAN Format<https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/64634> document. SWAN has spoken to Midwest Tape, and they are implementing a change to all SWAN library profiles to include the new term on combo pack bibliographic records. Other vendors may require individual action by libraries. SWAN is planning a cleanup of existing records to reflect the new standards. Libraries are not responsible for performing this cleanup, but Cataloging Libraries should feel free to update existing records if preferred.
