SWAN Library Staff: During today's Stress Test, please note that your personal data, holds, and current checkouts will likely be inaccurate, as the data is not current. The Enterprise OPAC is accessing data that was extracted from our system back in early December, so your account may show items checked out or fees that are no longer valid. If you encounter an issue with a blocked account and are unable to place items on hold, you may skip that part of the test. *Resolved* Catalog Slowness on 1/17

The issue has since been resolved and it appears the catalog is now functioning as expected. SWAN Marketing Materials: Press Release Template and Elevator Speech

Hello Member Libraries, We have two new marketing tools available for you, created via collaboration through the SWAN PR & Marketing Committee. These docs are attached to the email in Word format. If you'd prefer a different format, just email me and I can convert them. Elevator Speech: This is a concise way to capture what this migration means to SWAN and our membership. Imagine being asked to describe the migration quickly, while being stuck in an elevator with someone who has asked you. This tool is helpful to share with all staff, so that they can familiarize themselves with the basics of the migration and better communicate it quickly and efficiently to patrons that ask. Press Release Template: This is a draft copy of a sample press release, and can be used for community flyers, local newspapers, or wherever else you see fit. This can get you started and be adapted by your own PR team, or be used as is (just substitute in your own library name where indicated) to let your communities know a bit more about what to expect in the coming months (and generate excitement)! We hope that you find these tools useful as a starter. We will be following up next week with our first edition of our PR newsletter (for staff), and in a few weeks with our first patron bookmark.
