RAILS Meeting for SWAN Board & ILL Staff

Attention SWAN Library Inter-Library Loan Staff: As you are most likely aware, RAILS is undertaking a multiyear, four phase project to explore options to provide more seamless access to Resource Sharing (i.e., searching system-wide holdings and placing interlibrary loan requests) throughout the service area for all libraries. RAILS is currently in Phase Two: Research into Organizational Factors. To find out more about the RAILS project, read about it on the RAILS website here: https://www.railslibraries.info/catalogs/overlay RAILS is working with organizational consultant Eric Craymer, who will be conducting focus groups with various stakeholders. This attached memo is for interested library directors and specifically ILL staff. We hope to have Interlibrary Loan staff representation attend the appropriate focus group session. Millennium Slowness and Encore Outage - 2/28

SWAN Library Staff: Please be aware, this morning we had experienced some slowness with our Millennium Production server, which had affected the client and classic catalog. That issue has since been resolved, however, we're still encountering an issue with the Encore Webpac. We're currently investigating the situation and will update everyone once a resolution is in-place. Final Batch Item Deletions March 31st

The final Batch Item Deletions report will be run in Millennium on March 31, 2015. Please do not set any items to IC2SUPP "d" after end of business on March 30, 2015. Any such information will not be captured in our final data pull. If you absolutely must delete any items between March 31st and April 3rd, you will need to delete them individually.
