Encore OPAC / SWAN Catalog URLs
by Steven Schlewitt 11 Apr '15

11 Apr '15

SWAN Library Staff: Please be aware, the Encore discovery catalog (www.swanlibraries.net) has been disabled to prevent patron logins during our transition to the new SirsiDynix Symphony server. The swanlibraries.net website should now temporarily redirect to the Millennium classic catalog (catalog.swanlibraries.net) just for our days of offline. The Millennium classic catalog will remain accessible (excluding user logins) until go-live on April 14th. On April 14th, our new SirsiDynix Enterprise catalog will become available to all libraries and patrons at the catalog.swanlibraries.net address! Call Number Best Practices
by Karen Bar 09 Apr '15

09 Apr '15

+++ Please Route to Appropriate Personnel +++ Hi everyone, During the final data load, any existing slashes will be stripped from all call numbers in order to support call number browsing in Symphony WorkFlows. Effective immediately at go-live: call numbers should not contain any pipes, subfields or slashes with the exception of subfield |Z that will store volume information. SWAN Symphony Cataloging documents are posted here https://support.swanlibraries.net/content/cataloging-training. These may be viewed by logging in to the support site. Please contact me with any questions.
