Call for Session Ideas for SWANx2019!

Hi Library Staff! Save the Date! Friday, August 16, 2019 is our annual event, which we call SWANx or SWAN Expo (we used to call it SWANstravaganza but that is really difficult to type). SWANx19 event planning is underway, but we need your help. The theme for this year's event is a SWAN Expo which will be a showcase on how libraries are enhancing their communities. Our event planning group is looking for topics on interesting ways you engage with the community you serve. This could be event programs, community outreach, technology based tools, or collaboration with local school districts. SWAN Board & RAILS Board Self-Nominations

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators, The SWAN Board self-nomination form will be available until next week when it closes Friday at 5 p.m. We are seeking individuals interested in SWAN's strategic direction for the next 3 years. Library In-Service

Bridgeview Public Library will be closing early on March 20th, 2019 for a staff In-Service. The library will close at 4PM on the 20th and will resume regular hours on March 21st, 2019. Palos Park Library will be closed March 29th all day for an In-Service Day. They will resume regular hours on March 30th. SWAN FY20 Budget and LLSAP Funding Amounts for FY20

Hello Library Directors & Administrators, The SWAN FY20 budget was approved last week at the quarterly meeting. The SWAN Membership fees for FY20 are now posted online at the link below. https://support.swanlibraries.net/about/budget There was interest at the quarterly meeting about the LLSAP funding for the 6 consortia in RAILS. This funding is provided in a letter to SWAN shared in the SWAN Board packet from October 18, 2018.
