Nightly Processing Delay - Please Suspend All Activities Except Checkout/Checkin Until Further Notice
by SWAN Communications 22 Dec '21

22 Dec '21

SWAN Member Library Staff, We are experiencing a delay in our nightly processing. Until the long-running overnight processing concludes and SWAN has sent an “all clear” update, please refrain from all WorkFlows activities except Checkout and Checkin. SirsiDynix is currently investigating the reason for these long-running overnight maintenance reports. Throughout the morning, you are likely to encounter errors until these reports have concluded including “Hatwrapper Exception” and “Records in Use.” Additionally, many records may be unsearchable in WorkFlows by name, as this maintenance impacts our record indexing process. Should you encounter records with errors, please make note of the records and submit a ticket to help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net>. It’s likely these errors will clear once the reports conclude, but we’ll double-check to ensure that’s the case later today. We sincerely apologize for the delays in this processing and appreciate your patience as the reports conclude. Importing of A/V materials
by SWAN Communications 09 Dec '21

09 Dec '21

There has been some recent discussion regarding the import of A/V materials not available in the United States. Please take a look at a new documentation page on our Support Site regarding this practice: https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/89579 We are also interested in garnering more feedback on this topic. We've started a thread in the SWAN forums if you would like to weigh in: https://forums.swanlibraries.net/t/importing-a-v-materials/1016 Finally, we are interested in collecting examples of library collection policy on imports to share with the membership. If you are interested in submitting your policy, please send a ticket to help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net>.
