**Resolved** WorkFlows Outage 11/2 - BACK ONLINE

SWAN Member Library Staff: WorkFlows is back online and accessible, once again. The issue was related to a virtual snapshot that had unexpectedly initialized on the Symphony Production server. Enterprise Facet Survey Reminder

To All SWAN Library Staff: Thank you all for your continued feedback on Enterprise. We are continuing to learn a lot from library visits, hands on Enterprise discussions, and your comments to help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net>. As part of our ongoing data cleanup to improve Enterprise, SWAN will be reconfiguring Item Category 1 and the related format facet in Enterprise. We are also considering adding new facets and changing the labels on the Include and Exclude buttons. Before we make any additional changes to Enterprise, we need your feedback. Please let us know which facets and specifically which format options would be most useful to you and your patrons by completing the survey at https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2015-10-30/enterprise-surveys by Wednesday, November 4th at noon. All library staff are encouraged to submit a response, regardless of position or service area. Updating all 8 million items will be a big project, and we want to make sure we get it right. OCLC Resource Sharing for Illinois Libraries - Nov. 9 program

On behalf of RAILS: Expanding Resource Sharing for Illinois Libraries with OCLC Resources On Monday, November 9, from 2:00 p.m. to 3:30 pm, OCLC staff will present OCLC Resource Sharing for Illinois Libraries at the RAILS Burr Ridge Service Center and via live streaming. This presentation will update library staff on OCLC's resource sharing products and OCLC staff will answer questions. This is an opportunity to learn more about the resources available to you right now as Illinois library system member to expand resource sharing for your library patrons. This update will include: * An overview of WorldCat Discovery and the Illinois Group Catalog, and review additional benefits of your library-specific Discovery URL for customization * WorldCat and FirstSearch Base Package database migration to WorldCat Discovery Services timeline and the importance of early adoption while services are running in parallel * Integration of WorldShare ILL and WorldCat Discovery to streamline work and support both reference and resource sharing in partnership * WorldShare Record manager and Collection manager as possible ways to help assist you with cataloging and e-resource management. Circulation staff --- new feature--- SMS Message

+++Please route to appropriate personnel +++ Today at the Circulation Managers workshop SWAN announced a new Workflows feature ---SMS Message. With SMS Message staff can send a message to an individual patron that has opted-in to SMS Messaging and the SMS Manual Message in particular. This feature should prove to be handy when a patron has left something at the Circ desk or if you have a short message to send to them. You might want to test this feature out at your library by having a staff member opt-in and then sent them a quick test message. Enjoy. Circulation ----New Helper available in Modify User Wizard

The User Manager ID helper allows a library to quickly and efficiently update User IDs in Modify User. Please see the attached document to see if this helper would be of assistance at your library.
