When you fill out the online form, if you indicate you are NOT closed on all major holidays, please list the holidays you are closed in the additional dates. SWAN Board Election: Self-Nominations Now Open!

SWAN Library Directors and Administrators: We are pleased to announce the start of the 2016 SWAN Board election process. SWAN will have three open at-large position on the Board starting July 1, 2016. The SWAN Board is comprised of seven library directors elected from our SWAN member libraries. Board member responsibilities include: * Acting on issues affecting the long-term future of SWAN * Monitoring SWAN's finances and the overall financial health of SWAN * Maintaining open lines of communication with the SWAN membership Since our open seats are all at-large now, any director can submit a statement of interest for this election. The goal is to have an open process and at the same time ensure that all SWAN membership is represented during elections. Any library director/administrator interested in running for the Board should fill out the form located at the link below: https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2016-03-07/swan-board-self-nomination The Self-Nomination Form will be available until Friday, March 25th at 5pm CST. *Important* Enterprise OPAC Issues with Firefox Web Browser

SWAN Member Libraries and Information Technology Staff: We're currently investigating an issue that is only occurring with the Firefox web browser. Some patrons and staff are receiving a "Secure Connection Failed" error from the Firefox browser when accessing the catalog, although we have verified that catalog pages are loading as expected with all other browsers (Internet Explorer, Chrome, etc). We hope to have this issue resolved immediately and will send further SWANcoms as soon as information is available. *Important* Sunday 3/27 Due Dates

SWAN Member Library Staff: Please be aware - we've received reports that many libraries do not have Sunday 3/27 registered in their Days Closed as a holiday, and so items with 3-week checkouts are ending up with this due date. Unfortunately, we're only able to update this setting globally overnight, so we will be unable to make the change during the day today. Should you encounter items having a due date of 3/27, please change the date manually during or after checkout. We plan to have this issue resolved during the week so that future checkouts will not arrive at this due date. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience. Bibliographic record issues in WorkFlows

SWAN Member Library Staff: Due to increased activity last night, some of our normal overnight processing was not able to complete. You may encounter issues with recently modified bibliographic records when using WorkFlows. These will likely be records that were created or modified on 3/1/16. You may encounter error messages such as "heading keys need to be indexed first" or be unable to open a bibliographic record in WorkFlows. We anticipate that this issue will be resolved overnight and we will send a follow up email to confirm when the issue has been resolved.
