Web Services Upgrade Tonight (12/15) - Enterprise Services Impacted from 9pm-10pm

SWAN Member Library Staff: It's a busy week here at SWAN! Tonight between 9pm-10pm, we plan on migrating our Symphony Web Services to the latest version, with hopes that this will resolve ongoing E-Commerce issues and improve other various functions within Enterprise. While an hour of downtime is scheduled, we're hoping the actual downtime will be less than 10 minutes. Tonight's downtime will affect the following services... - Enterprise My Account functions - Enterprise library item availability - Enterprise payments - BookMyne - MobileCirc During the downtime, Enterprise will remain online and items will be searchable. Additionally, Symphony WorkFlows will be unaffected by this downtime. A banner will be displayed on the Enterprise homepages to alert patrons of the outage. Additional updates will be sent tonight via SWANcom. Thank you for your patience. Gift #6 --- Spanish and Polish Language Notices --- We are pleased to announce that on Feb. 1st, SWAN will begin sending Notices in Spanish and Polish. Receiving notices in foreign languages is based upon your patron supplying a language preference in their Workflows user record. To update a user record, bring up the record in "Modify User". On the Demographics tab, choose the correct preferred language from the dropdown. If you need a language that isn't listed in the dropdown, please open a ticket. Please note: This feature is different from the Default Language in "My Account" in Enterprise, that language option refers to the catalog interface default language. Happy Holidays!
