Everyone -
The ballot for the election of four members to the SWAN Circ Advisory Committee opens at Noon today. Five individuals have submitted their names for your consideration. Good luck to all that tossed their hat in the ring.
We ask that there is only one ballot cast per library, and recommend that it is cast by the Circulation Manager/ Supervisor.
You will find the election ballot here: https://fs8.formsite.com/SWANServices/form223/index.html Election closes Friday, November 4th at Noon. Thank you for taking the time to vote.

SWAN Libraries—
EBSCO Discovery Service (EDS) and OpenAthens are now live on your Enterprise
Development profiles! EDS integrates article search into Enterprise and
OpenAthens ties access of these databases to the patron's barcode and PIN
without the need for a unique login for each content provider. Before we go
live with EDS for patrons, SWAN staff will be sending out testing plans and
video tutorials so you can verify EDS/OpenAthens are functioning properly
within your library. If you are familiar with how authentication works and
would like to test EDS/OpenAthens on your own, the opt-in period for
activating EDS for patrons will begin on November 1st. More details will be
provided about the opt-in process next week.
The first testing plan should take no more than five minutes. Download the
attached document and follow the seven steps (with pictures!) to verify your
library's IP address is being whitelisted.
Lastly, on November 21 (time TBD), EBSCO will be presenting an in-depth
training webinar covering how to search within EDS, how to customize EDS for
your library, and how to utilize OpenAthens as a statistics reporting tool.
More details about the webinar will be provided soon.

SWAN Libraries -
The Crete Public Library is currently experiencing phone issues. These issues are causing calls to be dropped, and no calls coming in or out at times. They are in contact with their service provider and expect these problems to persist for several days. We will inform you when their service is restored.

It has been reported that some of the items listed on the Lost tab are still attached to patron records as a bill. Please DO NOT check any item from the Lost tab to your Discard user until we have had a chance to look through it. More information to follow.

SWAN is requesting that all libraries check their shelves for the In-transit items listed in the attached Excel spreadsheet. The spreadsheet is paged or tabbed by library along the bottom of the spreadsheet. There is a brief memo regarding the process attached. We would ask you after you complete checking your shelves to report your completion of the project. https://fs8.formsite.com/SWANServices/form222/index.html
Thank you for your cooperation. We are requesting you complete this task and report back to us by Nov. 15th if at all possible.
