We hope you will join us Tuesday at 11:00 AM for our next Fireside Chat. This session will be hosted in GoToWebinar<https://attendee.gotowebinar.com/register/7506123297483245071>; registration is required to receive a personal login link to the session. Discussion will include sharing curbside service experience, implementation of Unique's Curbside Communicator, and preparing staff to be safe as your library considers limited service and staff functions within your building. Procedures for requesting PPE, procured by SWAN for our members, will be shared. We will also be using a curbside pick-up model with member libraries for these orders.
Previous Fireside Chat session recordings, presentations, and chat or Q&A logs are available from the Fireside Chat<https://support.swanlibraries.net/covid-19/fireside-chats> page within our COVID-19<https://support.swanlibraries.net/covid-19> resources.
Our COVID-19 pages have been expanded to include Curbside Communicator<https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/72168> information, as well as resources shared by Blue Island Public Library and Evergreen Park Public Library who start curbside this week. If you would like to share your plans, local media, or resources, include in a support ticket at help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net>.
If your library would like to extend due dates, please complete the webform linked in our COVID-19: Due Date Extension Webform<https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2020-05/72338>. These requests will be processed as received.

Hi everyone,
I shared at the SWAN fireside chat on Tuesday that we were considering Curbside Communicator from Unique Management. Today I approved an agreement with Unique to provide this to all member libraries that would like to use it for your planned curbside. SWAN will fund this for any member library that opts-in.
Read more on the news post below:

We will have more details on the service, how it will work for SWAN member libraries, and when you will get it. There will be more to share next week Tuesday!

SWAN Libraries-
This morning's fireside chat is at 11 a.m. and we will use our new GoToWebinar platform which will allow expanded participation. This will replace the GoToMeeting at least for the firesides.
The biggest difference is to register via the link in advance to get the meeting invite with telephone and online information.

I will be sending a message to those of you who registered for the fireside in the L2 event, so apologies in advance for any double notification that occurs.

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators-
The agenda and packet for Wednesday's meeting at 10 a.m. is now available. The packet link below is the agenda and the 8 page document that we will cover at the meeting at agenda item #4. This written plan will hopefully make clear what SWAN can support as we move towards "Phase 2" of libraries reopening with limited service.

This Committee of the Whole (COW) meeting will be held online and the link to that video and audio is on the meeting agenda above. I would like to have an opportunity at the COW to have discussion with library directors and administrators so I would encourage only library directors to attend that online meeting.
This plan will be covered at the fireside chat tomorrow, Tuesday, April 28th so library staff will also be introduced to it and will have their own opportunity to hear about the plan and what the next steps are in regards to SWAN supporting libraries for curbside or home delivery.

SWAN Public Library Staff-
I realized that the announcement on the final approval of the group-purchase of the EBSCO database package for all 92 public libraries in SWAN never took place due to the first week of the coronavirus pandemic quite simply set aside all other planned announcements.
This news post is the announcement that includes the final vote and has links to documentation and pricing:

The EBSCO database selection survey requires public libraries to make their selections by April 30th.
