COVID-19: May 29 Member Update

As shared in the Fireside Chat on Tuesday, May 26th, autorenewal, courtesy, and overdue notices to patrons will resume on Monday, June 1st. Online Voting Open for Admitting Glenside, Roselle, and Warrenville Public Library Districts

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators- The online voting to admit three libraries Glenside, Roselle, and Warrenville to join SWAN is now open. The SWAN news post below has a link to the impact study and SWAN Board recommendation. https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2020-05/73542 The approval requires 65 libraries (2/3 full members) to admit the libraries. I will provide an update to everyone at the Thursday, June 4th SWAN Quarterly meeting which will be held online (agenda not posted yet). SWAN PPE Online Ordering Now Live

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators- The ability to order some PPE supplies from SWAN is now available online. The order form is now posted for our stock of face shields, masks, gloves, 1 gallon sanitizer, and hand gel. SWAN's PPE page (requires membership login): https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/71395 These are for curbside pick up only at SWAN headquarters Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-3pm. You will arrange the pick up date and time within the online order form. This will be contactless pickup-you arrive at the SWAN headquarters foyer and Ginny Blake will have the packed up order waiting for you! There is no mark-up on the pricing-this is volume discounted orders we are breaking down into smaller quantities for you. The library will be invoiced by SWAN in a few weeks for items ordered and picked up. Pricing is listed within the online order form. Planned Enterprise Server Maintenance/Downtime on May 26th at 3AM

SWAN Member Library Staff, Please be aware, SirsiDynix will be performing planned maintenance of the Enterprise catalog server on Tuesday, May 26th at 3AM, which will require downtime throughout the process. The maintenance is expected to take no longer than an hour, so the impact will be minimal.
