SWAN 2015 Meeting Schedule: No COW in Feb!

SWAN Libraries: Directors/Administrators should note that the 2015 meeting schedule as set by the SWAN Board removed the February Committee of the Whole meeting, as well as the April, July, and October meetings. Migration Memo #8 -- Training update

Everyone - attached is an update on the SWAN Migration training. We have some impressive numbers to report on your use of the SirsiDynix Mentor program of self-paced online instruction. Information is included on how we notify attendees if we should need to cancel any in person training sessions due to weather. Information on make-up classes, the addition of another Enterprise class, recorded YouTube sessions, and training the trainer at your libraries are also highlighted. Reminder: ProPay Forms Due Monday 2/23

SWAN Library Directors/Administrators: Migration memo #5 outlined the steps to have online payments as a feature within the new catalog. This is a reminder that the deadline for returning the completed application to SWAN will be Monday February 23 at 5pm. The envelopes containing these forms will be sent to ProPay on your behalf. SirsiDynix will then create the integration within Enterprise for each library's profile. SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff: We are currently experiencing some connectivity issues with our Test server (listed as 10.120.131.40 in the documentation). While we troubleshoot these issues, please feel free to connect to our Production server (10.120.131.25) using the WFTEST login to ensure a successful installation and communication. We anticipate that these connection issues will be resolved by the release of the testing logins early next week if they're not resolved later today. RAILS & SWAN Closed Monday Feb 2

SWAN Symphony Test System Coming Soon

SWAN Libraries, I know many of you are patiently waiting for the Symphony test system. We promised it would be out in January, but due to a variety of reasons I won't get into, we delayed its deployment. The good news is that we reached the step where we can clone the Symphony system we have been working on, and will create the system for you to practice in. We anticipate this will be ready next week.
