2017 SWAN Board Election: Self-Nominations Now Open!

SWAN Library Directors and Administrators: We are pleased to announce the start of the 2017 SWAN Board election process. SWAN will have two open at-large position on the Board starting July 1, 2017. The SWAN Board is currently comprised of seven library directors elected from our SWAN member libraries. Board member responsibilities include: * Acting on issues affecting the long-term future of SWAN * Monitoring SWAN's finances and the overall financial health of SWAN * Maintaining open lines of communication with the SWAN membership Since our open seats are all at-large, any director can submit a statement of interest for this election. The goal is to have an open process and at the same time ensure that all SWAN membership is represented during elections. Any library director/administrator interested in running for the Board should fill out the form located at the link below: https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2017-03-06/2017-swan-board-election-… The Self-Nomination Form will be available until Friday, March 24th at 5pm CST. Candidates will be announced via SWANcom on Monday, April 3rd. Our voting process will run for three weeks, from Monday May 1st through Friday May 19th. SWAN Member Library Staff: We've received reports of intermittent outages affecting the Enterprise OPAC this evening and have contacted SirsiDynix support for further investigation. They've acknowledged a potentially widespread issue affecting all SirsiDynix SaaS-hosted customers, but also informed me that the issue should now be resolved. Either way, we'll continue to monitor the situation throughout the evening and send additional SWANcoms if the issues persist.
