SWAN Member Library Staff: We've received reports of intermittent outages affecting the Enterprise OPAC this evening and have contacted SirsiDynix support for further investigation. They've acknowledged a potentially widespread issue affecting all SirsiDynix SaaS-hosted customers, but also informed me that the issue should now be resolved. Either way, we'll continue to monitor the situation throughout the evening and send additional SWANcoms if the issues persist. Tomorrow morning, join us in the Burr Ridge main meeting room (125 Tower Drive, Burr Ridge, IL 60527) at 9:30 a.m. We'll share SWAN updates with you, and also hold a vote on the FY18 budget. This will be an in-person vote, meaning that if you're streaming and participating in the meeting online, you will not be able to vote. SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff: SirsiDynix support identified an abnormal memory usage from the Tomcat and JBoss services on our Enterprise server which caused the instability we witnessed earlier. SirsiDynix support has since restarted those two services and the server now seems to be operating as expected. We'll continue to monitor the situation throughout the night and provide additional updates should any come up. This maintenance window is not expected to last longer than one hour. The maintenance and associated outage is expected to last no longer than one hour. The site affected provides network access to many of our SWAN libraries and to the SWAN/RAILS datacenter itself, so SWAN and many individual libraries will be impacted during that brief period.
