We will also be announcing the 2018 Strategic Planning process for SWAN, and giving our 2017 year in review. Long In Transit Processing

++Please route to appropriate staff++ We are now ready to make good on our promise to clean up the Long In Transit items! Any item that was set in transit prior to January 1, 2017 is now checked out to MISSTRNSIT. We will use the following schedule to continue to process the long in transit items until everything that has been in transit for more than 30 days is checked out to MISSTRNSIT. Date Month/Year item was put in transit 12/4/17 January 2017 12/5/17 February 2017 12/6/17 March 2017 12/7/17 April 2017 12/8/17 May 2017 12/11/17 June 2017 12/12/17 July 2017 12/13/17 August 2017 12/14/17 September 2017 12/15/17 October 2017 Starting Monday December 18 a report will be run on a daily basis that will checkout any item in transit for more than 30 days to MISSTRNSIT. Once an item is in transit to fill a hold, no other item will fulfill the hold. Checking out items in transit for more than 30 day will put the hold back at the top of the hold queue. In January we will send you a final shelf check report of items that were set in transit prior to January 1, 2017. Those items will be discarded at the end of January. SWAN Libraries - The Bridgeview PL Children's department will be closed due to construction until Tuesday, November 28th.

SWAN Libraries - Due to ongoing HVAC repairs, the Broadview Public Library District will be closed Friday, November 17th. They hope to complete the repairs and reopen on Saturday at 10:00 am.

BRS emergency closing

SWAN Libraries - The Broadview Public Library District will be closing this evening (Tuesday, 11/14/17) at 6:00 p.m. and will be closed all day - both Wednesday, 11/15 and Thursday, 11/16 - due to emergency HVAC repairs. They anticipate re-opening at 10:00 a.m. on Friday, 11/17/17.
