We have received notification from Riverdale PL that they are temporarily closing beginning on December 1, 2017.
They intend to re-open the library on January 29, 2018.
At present, they are receiving RAILS delivery and processing the materials received in their bookdrop. Their bookdrop will be available for patrons to use until Dec. 15th, after that time it will not be accessible.
In the interim:
* Riverdale PL has requested that SWAN suspend all Riverdale patron holds with a pickup of Riverdale.
* Riverdale PL patrons that have placed holds and requested pickup at another library have not been suspended.
* All Riverdale PL materials are not holdable.
Riverdale PL has requested that any Riverdale patron cards that expire before January 29th be renewed for a period of one month as long as the patron is not delinquent. However, new patrons requiring a Riverdale PL card should not be issued a new card until Riverdale re-opens. Please ask them to visit the Riverdale library to secure a card after January 29th.

We are planning to make some changes to the list of payment types you see in your dropdown in WorkFlows:

The CANCEL payment type will be removed as it is the payment type used when an item is returned after receiving a bill. It will be replaced by VOID.
The xxxBCC payment type will be removed for everyone; it is for payments made through Enterprise and should not be used in WorkFlows. Those of you that have had ProPay credit card swipes recently installed will retain your xxxBCC2 payment type.
Additionally the following payment types must be retained: BANKRUPTCY, BILL_LIB, MISS_PIECE and PROPAYUPD.
The rest of the list can be customized by you! Please choose which payment types from the following list you would like removed:
ADJUSTMENT
AMNESTY
AUTOREFUND
CASH
CHECK
CREDITCARD
DEBITCARD
FOOD4FINES
FORGIVEN
MIGRATBILL
NONE
PAYPAL
REPLACEMENT

In advance of the addition of the New 19, we have renewed our investigation of the order that libraries appear in when viewing the "Call Number/Item" tab in various wizards such as "Item Search and Display". We were delighted to learn from SirsiDynix that there is now a way to do this, and we implemented it last week.
Items from Franklin Park and Lansing should now appear in alphabetical order according to agency code. If you have any questions please let us know.

We have discovered patrons with ILL_LIBS as a library, including NONSWAN_RB, CHICAGO_P and Internet Access are not able to place holds in the Online Catalog. We are working to isolate and resolve the issue. Holds placed for these users in Symphony are not affected.
Our sincere apologies for the confusion and inconvenience. We will update you when we have more information.
