I wanted to share with you two information items today.
First, your OCLC annual agreements: we are receiving some inquiries on this topic, so I have posted some information on the SWAN support site. This will help new library directors and new SWAN members.

Second, the SirsiDynix Libraries of Illinois Users Group (SLUI) will hold its Spring Meeting at St Charles Public Library on May 17 at 9:15am. The meeting agenda and topics are on the RAILS event, and you will need to register via the Eventbrite link from the RAILS event below.

SLUI is always a great opportunity to meet with other libraries, not just SWAN libraries, and share ideas. This Spring Meeting is *free* so take a look!

The server load average has leveled off and you're clear to log back in to the WorkFlows server.
We're still working to determine the root cause of the issue, but expect the server should remain stable for the remainder of the day. We'll send additional SWANcoms should any further issues arise.

This is just a reminder that tomorrow (Sunday, May 6th) we will be instating a full cataloging freeze for ALL SWAN LIBRARIES to correct a data load issue with LINC call numbers. Please do not perform any of the following actions or use the following wizards on Sunday:
* Adding/Editing items
* Creating/Overlaying bib records and pre-cats (neither manually, using Load Bibs Report, nor SmartPort)
* Manually deleting items (Charging to DISCARD users is okay)
* Global Item Modification Wizard
* Transfers Wizard
* Load Bibs with Order Info Report
* Add Ordered Items wizard
* Add Brief Title wizard (ILLs)
Any changes made tomorrow will not be indexed until the full system rebuild later this month, so it is imperative you adhere to the freeze. We expect the script to run most of the day and normal library operations will resume Monday, May 7th.

We experienced a brief issue with Symphony that affected check-in of items. This was temporary and displayed the "The records are currently in use. Please try again later."
This was related to some behind the scenes work we are doing to tweak some data.
We received a number of tickets. No need to report the issue further.
