The statistics for the month of May are now available on the SWAN website <https://support.swanlibraries.net/content/2015-sirsidynix-stats> (click on the Statistics tab and choose 2015 SirsiDynix statistics).
We have 12 statistical reports available for you.
* We have Checkouts by Interface, Renewals by Interface, and Holds by Interface - you will notice there are columns listed as SVA, Bookmyne, and unknown you will begin to see statistics in these columns in the near future. For your total circulation count, dependent upon library policy, you may want to add renewals and checkouts.
* Then we have checkouts by our new user categories ( which I have referenced as pcode2, pcode3, and pcode4 for ease of use).
* Monthly checkouts by Item Library/Library Profile will give you your reciprocal borrowing stats - just remember to subtract checkouts to your library users profiles.
* Monthly checkout by Charging Library/ Item Library will give you your ILL activity - but again you would need to subtract checkout of your material at your library (charging library). It is easier to use the Monthly ILL Sent and ILL Received where the checkout of your material at your library (including any bookmobiles), has been removed for you. Remember ILL Sent is read down, ILL Rec'd is read across.

* Monthly In-house Use - you must use the Mark Item Used Wizard to generate this statistic
* Monthly Users Added

The next RAILS Member Update will be held on Thursday, June 18, from 10 a.m. - noon, in person at the RAILS Burr Ridge service center, at videoconference locations throughout the RAILS area, and via one-way streaming video. The main topic will be the work currently being done to examine and strengthen the standards all libraries must follow to be eligible for library system membership. Representatives of the six subcommittees formed to examine different aspects of membership standards will also give a report. Join RAILS Member Engagement Manager, Debbie Baaske at this networking event hosted by the Eisenhower Public Library. Debbie will share the latest RAILS news and answer your questions. Leah White, Head of Popular Materials at the Ela Area Public Library, as well as a 2012 LJ Mover and Shaker, will join us to present: Have you ever visited an independent bookstore and thought to yourself, "Why aren't libraries doing this?" Come learn tips and tricks from the indie bookseller trade! We will cover merchandising, books displays, shelftalkers, weeding and much more.
The balance of the meeting will be devoted to sharing the latest news about your library, sharing other library-related news, and networking with colleagues.

There has been an issue with generic patrons being selected for collection when we run the reports for Unique. To correct this problem, SWAN has created a new status in the User record under the Library Defined category of "No_Unique" . This new "Library Defined" category will be available to the libraries tomorrow, after tonight's halt and run. For any generic (in-house) patrons and/or actual patrons that should not be sent to collection, your library staff should change the "Library defined" category in those records to "No_Unique". As we run reports in the future, these users will not be selected for collection.
To update these special patrons beginning tomorrow morning:
* In Modify User retrieve the user record you want to update
* Under the Demographics tab, in the Library Defined category, choose "No_Unique from the dropdown.
* Click on Save to store change.

Congratulations to Jim Deiters (Oak Lawn Public Library), Anne Kozak (Thomas Ford Memorial Library), and Stacy Wittmann (Eisenhower Public Library District) for being elected to the SWAN Board. Their three-year terms start July 1, 2015.
I would like to thank Amy Crump (Homewood Public Library District) and Dan Powers (Lyons Public Library) for running for the open positions. It is always great to see interest in the SWAN governance.
Rich Wolff (Tinley Park Public Library) will end his second term on the SWAN Board June 30. Please make sure to thank him at the June 4 SWAN Quarterly meeting next week for his tenure and his time as the SWAN Board President.

I have attached a corrected version of yesterday's memo regarding the running of reports. In error, the documentation stated to "Modify" and rename the new reports available to your library with the new REPORT login. The documentation should have stated to "Copy" the report and rename it.
The attached document has been corrected and the error highlighted.
I am very sorry for the inconvenience.
