Please see the linked memo "Network Changes Memo #5: Member Library Email Aliases", and route to your appropriate library staff. This memo outlines changes to the SWAN email domain from the previous MLS address to the new notices.swanlibraries.net address. No action is required of member libraries, except to update their email contact lists and spam filters, as necessary. The cutover will take place on Monday, November 25th.
The following information should be provided to your IT and library staff that might communicate via the three-letter alias addresses:

We are pleased to report that Maywood PLD is re-opening tomorrow.
According to the Village Free Press<http://thevillagefreepress.org/2013/11/09/rep-welch-local-officials-maywood…>, " Library Director Stan Huntington announced the library's new operating hours: Mon. - Wed. (12pm - 7pm), Tue. - Thu. (12pm - 5:30pm), Saturdays (9am - 5:30pm). The library won't be opening Monday, due to Veteran's Day." The library will be closed on Friday and Sunday as it was previously.
As you are aware, SWAN staff have made numerous changes to the loan rules, patron block table, Maywood patron holds, and Maywood OPAC options. SWAN staff will reverse all of these temporary changes and return them to their previous status by tomorrow's re-opening.
If you have been renewing Maywood PLD patron cards at your library, you can begin referring their patrons back to Maywood PLD.

Every year around this time we request that libraries notify SWAN of their planned "Days Closed" dates for the coming year. There is a web form on the SWAN website designed for this purpose. You need to be logged into the SWAN website to view the form in the dropdown list. http://swan.railslibraries.info/node/add/days-closed If you haven't completed this form already, please do so soon. And please continue to use this form during the year to update the SWAN "Days Closed" table for your In-service days or any other closings not anticipated at this time.
