RAILS Member Update on Wednesday, June 4th

+++ Please route to appropriate personnel ++ RAILS has requested that SWAN forward the following message to our members - June 4 RAILS Member Update The next RAILS Member Update will be held on Wednesday, June 4, from 9:30 - 11:30 a.m. Join us at a videoconference location that is convenient for you. Participating videoconference locations include the RAILS Burr Ridge service center, Aurora Public Library, Kankakee Public Library, New Lenox Public Library District, and more. The meeting will also be available to view via streaming. Executive Director Dee Brennan will host the meeting from the Galesburg Public Library. This will be your first opportunity to hear Dee Brennan and RAILS staff reveal RAILS' major plans for FY2015. Topics include: support for RAILS' four shared online catalogs and other RAILS-area consortia, member engagement, RAILS' cooperative purchasing program, eRead Illinois, digitization, delivery, continuing education and consulting, and more. Illinois State Library staff will also discuss potential digitization grants for libraries in FY2015 and the recent statewide delivery advisory committee report. You will also have time to catch up with colleagues in attendance and have opportunities to share your feedback and ask questions. The following staff will be attending CONSUGI from Wednesday morning until Saturday evening: Aaron Skog, Karen Bar, Kate Boyle, Renee Clanton, Samantha Dietel, Dave Pacin, and Steven Schlewitt. Please rest assured that there are SWAN staff available at Burr Ridge (from 7:30 AM - 9:00 PM) to answer any of your support questions and concerns at the usual support phone # 630-734-5153. SWAN Committee of the Whole Meeting: Agenda and Directions 5/13/14

The meeting will be held in the Heritage Room in their new Conference Center, labeled building BCEC on the map. Parking will be available at no charge in Lots C and D.
