Call Number Best Practices

Effective immediately at go-live: call numbers should not contain any pipes, subfields or slashes with the exception of subfield |Z that will store volume information. Quick Note About OCLC Agreement Sent

SWAN Library Directors/Administrators: I have received a few inquiries about the OCLC agreement you received in the mail. Just a reminder: 1. OCLC membership is part of your SWAN Membership, so there is nothing to pay. 2. Sign both copies of the agreement from the State Library and they will send you back a signed original copy for your records. 3. It is important to complete the agreement, otherwise your library would lose its OCLC membership. If you have any other questions, feel free to reach out to me.
