Brief Downtime: 8:20 AM
by Rebecca Malinowski 14 Apr '15

14 Apr '15

In order to resolve an issue with editing PINs, we will need to briefly halt the system. All users logged in will briefly lose their connection. The downtime should last less than five minutes. We will send a notification when the system is restarted. Please be aware that we may need to perform additional maintenance throughout the day, and continue to monitor SWANcom. **REMINDER: Upload offline files today**
by Rebecca Malinowski 13 Apr '15

13 Apr '15

To all library staff: The data load is almost complete. All of the data has been loaded, and SirsiDynix is working on correcting expected errors and making some small adjustments. Today, SWAN and SirisDynix will finish configuration tasks, and do a backup of the system. **This evening, libraries will need to upload their offline files at closing. ** To upload offline files, each workstation that used offline mode will need to log into the Symphony production server. To so do, reopen WorkFlows and, on the configuration screen, uncheck the "Operate in Offline mode" box unchecked and verify that the server you are connecting to is at IP Address 10.120.131.25 or api.in.swanlibraries.net. Log in with your Workflows production logins (available to directors at https://support.swanlibraries.net/content/workflows-production-server-login…) Once logged in to Workflows, wait for a moment (our consultant suggests counting to ten), and then log out. This will need to be done on each computer that had any offline transactions. If, at your library, you access computers will multiple Windows logins, this process will need to done once under each login that used the computer. **When you have completed logging into production on each computer, please send a report to SWAN using this short form: ** https://fs8.formsite.com/SWANServices/OfflineReport/index.html Offline documentation is available at https://support.swanlibraries.net/system/files/Members%20Only/SWANTech/Work…. Please direct non-urgent questions to help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net> and contact SWAN at 630-734-5153 with questions needing immediate assistance. SWAN will be available until 10 PM to assist libraries staff. Encore OPAC / SWAN Catalog URLs
by Steven Schlewitt 11 Apr '15

11 Apr '15

SWAN Library Staff: Please be aware, the Encore discovery catalog (www.swanlibraries.net) has been disabled to prevent patron logins during our transition to the new SirsiDynix Symphony server. The swanlibraries.net website should now temporarily redirect to the Millennium classic catalog (catalog.swanlibraries.net) just for our days of offline. The Millennium classic catalog will remain accessible (excluding user logins) until go-live on April 14th. On April 14th, our new SirsiDynix Enterprise catalog will become available to all libraries and patrons at the catalog.swanlibraries.net address!
