The Cicero Public Library is closed today, April 2nd, due to a water main break. Data Load Begins: Enterprise Down

To all SWAN library staff: The final data extraction and load begin today. As part of the data load, the previously loaded data on Symphony production server will be deleted this afternoon. The production server will not be accessible until staff are notified on April 14 that we are ready to go live. This also means that while Enterprise will technically remain up and functional, there will be no bib records or items for it to display, and you will not be able to log in. The Symphony test server will continue to be accessible until we begin offline circulation on Friday, April 10 at 9:00 PM. *Concluded* Migration Memo #14: WorkFlows Offline & Login Test Day (Tomorrow, April 1st)

SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff: Thank you to everyone that participated in yesterday's event! SWAN has received a lot of great feedback about the offline process and is currently working to process this feedback. We'll send another email with our observations and clarifications as soon as we're able. Also, just a reminder - the Symphony WorkFlows production server will not be accessible again until go-live, as we're currently processing our final data import. Expect more details on this process in an upcoming memo. The test server (10.120.131.40), however, will remain accessible until the three days of offline (April 11th-13th). So please continue any testing and training from the test server using your previously assigned WorkFlows test logins. As you perform offline testing at your library, please keep the following points in mind... * Your offline test and login can be performed anytime during library business hours (6am-10pm) on April 1st. * Your library should attempt an offline test on ANY computer that will be circulating materials during the 3 days of offline (April 11th-13th). * Any staff member that will be circulating materials during the 3 days of offline (April 11th-13th) is strongly encouraged to participate in this test and survey. * As each offline test is completed by staff in your library, a new FormSite survey should be submitted at the link below... (https://fs8.formsite.com/SWANServices/form182/index.html). The survey will close at 11:59pm on April 1st. * Multiple surveys can be submitted for each library, but every library must perform the offline test and submit at least ONE survey. SWAN support will be contacting your library for follow-up if no survey is submitted. * Production server logins were distributed to library directors via SWAN Memo #15.
