Monthly statistical reports by Stat Group are now available on the Report Server
by Kate Boyle 10 Feb '14

10 Feb '14

+++ Please route to appropriate personnel +++ Everyone - The monthly statistics that you usually view and download from the Report Server are now available. We actually started to manually email these reports out last week when the process of moving the statistics from the Production machine to the Report server was not working. Some of you received these reports by email Thursday or Friday. For the remainder of you, the reports are now available. Update - We are still waiting for Innovative to fix the "Your patrons' circ activity" report that is usually available on the SWAN website. We will let you know as soon as this report is available. Thank you for your patience and have a good week. by Brande Redfield 10 Feb '14

10 Feb '14

Sent on behalf of RAILS/ILA: SWAN Member Libraries: The Illinois Library Association (ILA) is hosting a South Suburban Legislative Breakfast on Friday, February 14, from 7:45 - 10:30 a.m., at the Public Landing Restaurant in Lockport. Tickets are only $25 and you can register through next Thursday. Library trustees and staff from all types of libraries (academic, public, school, and special) are strongly encouraged to attend. This is a perfect opportunity to get to know your legislators in an informal setting, to share the issues affecting you and your library, and to network with library colleagues all at the same time. In addition, Kip Kolkmeier, ILA Legislative Consultant, will present up-to-the-minute information about important issues affecting Illinois libraries. For more information (including a list of libraries and legislators in the area), or to register, visit https://netforum.avectra.com/eWeb/DynamicPage.aspx?Site=ILA&WebCode=EventDe…. Your patrons' circ activity report for January
by Kate Boyle 07 Feb '14

07 Feb '14

Everyone - In addition to the problem we are having with moving the statistical reports from the Production machine to the Report server, there is a problem with the custom built monthly report - "Your patrons' circ activity". Basically the report will not run. This is related to the recent upgrade. Innovative is working on this problem also. Again, hopefully, this problem will be fixed over the weekend. As soon as the report can be generated it will be uploaded to the SWAN website. I will be sending out a SWANcom announcing when it is uploaded and available. Sorry for the inconvenience. Web Management Statistics on Report server update
by Kate Boyle 07 Feb '14

07 Feb '14

Everyone - As of today, Innovative has not been able to move the monthly statistical reports from the Production server to the Report server. Knowing that this is a usually data included in your Board reports, we started last night emailing the reports to your generic library email. We are attempting to send these out to libraries based upon the scheduling of your Board meetings. A number of you should have received your reports last night. Hopefully, we will be able to get them all done by Monday evening, Tuesday at the latest. And there is always the possibility that Innovative will fix this problem over the weekend. As always, thank you for your patience and understanding. Have a great weekend. Days closed table being updated
by Kate Boyle 05 Feb '14

05 Feb '14

+++ Please route to appropriate personnel +++ Everyone - If the decision has been made to close your library due to the extreme weather or any other reason, please update the RAILS Emergency closing webpage. http://www.railslibraries.info/members/closings Sign into the form using your L2 (www.librarylearning.info<http://www.librarylearning.info>) username and password. SWAN staff will be updating the "Days Closed" table in SWAN based upon the closings that are reported. We have added this task into our daily list of tasks in order to allow you to only report your emergency closing once. By updating the "Days Closed" table your patrons will not be assessed overdue fines for the day. If you are planning an extended closing, please report that to our offices by phone 630-734-5153 or email help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net> in order for us to consult with you regarding the finer details. Hang in there, Winter does eventually turn into Spring.
