FW: SWAN Circ Advisory Committee election -- reminder

+++ Please route to appropriate personnel +++ Just a reminder that the SWAN Circ Advisory Committee election closes at noon tomorrow. Libraries that have not voted yet are: BCS, BKS, BIS, BRS, BKS, BZS, CCS, CAS, CHS, CIS, CNS, DOS, EVS, FMS, FPS, HSS, JDS, LYS, MTS, MCS, MDS, NRS, NLS, OPS, PHS, PPS, PFS, PTS, RPS, SPS, SHS, SAS, THS, PSS, ROS There is one vote per library. The person casting the ballot should be the staff member supervising Circulation. Deadline: Noon on Friday, Oct. 18th. Each library should cast a ballot for five representatives. This year we have one vacancy representing Committee A, two vacancies representing Committee B, two vacancies representing Committee C. We are also filling the At-Large representative position ( to be filled by the candidate with the highest vote total after all other seats are filled). Meeting with Unique Management regarding Collections

Over half of the SWAN libraries have contracts with Unique for their debt collections. If you are a current client and have any questions or would just like to meet with Kent Smallwood, please join us in a meeting at the Burr Ridge office on Wednesday, Oct. 30th at 2 PM. Any library, that is not a current client, but is interested in learning more about the debt collection service offered by Unique is welcome to attend also. Reminder for ILA Attendees

SWAN Members, On Behalf of the ILS Committee: Just a reminder for those of you attending ILA Conference that our RFP procurement process for a new integrated library system is still ongoing, and no selection has been made. As you visit the exhibitors at ILA, they may try to probe for "insider" information: "How are the demos going? What do you think of the 3 systems that were chosen? How were those 3 selected? When will a decision be made?" While you are certainly welcome to ask your own questions about their product, please do not comment on the process or any of the feedback you may have heard from demos. Remind vendors that we are still in the midst of the selection process and any questions can be forwarded to me, Aaron Skog (contact info below). Please help us by passing this message along to any fellow staff members attending ILA who may not be on SWANcom.
