The self-nomination period has ended and the slate of candidates for the three seats on the SWAN Board will be the following. Since there are the two candidates who volunteered for the two open seats, SWAN will not have to conduct an election for the 2026 cycle. Congratulations to the three library directors who will be seated July 2026 (please note, the SWAN Board has not approved its meeting schedule for the FY2027 year).

We have updated our Symphony server with the changes needed to switch from FTP to SFTP file transfer with Libraria. Libraries using Libraria as a vendor will need to update their vendor records. We have two upcoming Hoopla updates to be aware of.
Hoopla Maintenance – May 6 (1:00–4:00 a.m. CT) Hoopla will undergo planned maintenance on May 6 from 1:00–4:00 a.m. CT. During this time, Hoopla access will be unavailable; patrons may see login errors unrelated to their accounts, reporting will be delayed, and catalog/API updates may be briefly delayed. A downtime banner is already scheduled to appear in Aspen during that time.

Hoopla Flex Launch – May 12 Hoopla Flex will be activated for our library on May 12, expanding access to select high‑demand titles through Flex borrows.
