The participation of every library is essential to ensure the most accurate and comprehensive analysis of e-content expenditures across Illinois public libraries. Please note: While any staff member at your library may complete the survey, we ask that only one submission be made per library. We encourage you to coordinate internally before submitting. Your data will directly support ILA efforts related to the Digital Library Protection Act (HB5236). The more complete our data, the stronger our advocacy. UPDATE: Hoopla Flex Launch

Dear Member Libraries, Launching Hoopla Flex for those subscribing libraries required a full reindex for each library in order to bring in the Flex entitlements. This is taking longer than originally expected. Indexing and full collections are expected to be in the library catalog by the end of this week. Please reach out if you have additional questions. BLUEcloud Analytics migration delayed

Our BLUEcloud Analytics Private Intelligence Server migration is delayed. The migration was meant to be completed by today, but technicians at SirsiDynix have run into an issue that is delaying launch of the new server. We are told that the delay may be as long as a few days, but we do not yet have details. In the meantime, the existing BLUEcloud Analytics server is still up and running, so there is no interruption in service. Our advice to not create new reports while the migration is taking place remains in effect. We will keep you posted as we receive status updates from SirsiDynix. Hoopla Flex Launch

Dear Member Libraries, Hoopla Flex indexing is now live for all Hoopla‑subscribing libraries that have both Hoopla Flex titles and Hoopla Instant enabled in the Aspen catalog. No action is required on your end. Indexing may take several hours to complete. Both Instant and Flex collections will finish indexing and be available by the end of the day. Two candidates for two open board seats

The self-nomination period has ended and the slate of candidates for the three seats on the SWAN Board will be the following. Since there are the two candidates who volunteered for the two open seats, SWAN will not have to conduct an election for the 2026 cycle. Congratulations to the three library directors who will be seated July 2026 (please note, the SWAN Board has not approved its meeting schedule for the FY2027 year). Acquisitions EDI Processing Errors With Libraria

We have updated our Symphony server with the changes needed to switch from FTP to SFTP file transfer with Libraria. Libraries using Libraria as a vendor will need to update their vendor records. Hoopla Maintenance May 6 and Hoopla Flex Launch May 12

Dear Member Libraries, We have two upcoming Hoopla updates to be aware of. Hoopla Maintenance – May 6 (1:00–4:00 a.m. CT) Hoopla will undergo planned maintenance on May 6 from 1:00–4:00 a.m. CT. During this time, Hoopla access will be unavailable; patrons may see login errors unrelated to their accounts, reporting will be delayed, and catalog/API updates may be briefly delayed. A downtime banner is already scheduled to appear in Aspen during that time. _____________________________________________________________________________________________________________ Hoopla Flex Launch – May 12 Hoopla Flex will be activated for our library on May 12, expanding access to select high‑demand titles through Flex borrows.
