Monthly Patron Record Removal - Continue with 10 years inactivity
by SWAN Communications 06 Jan '22

06 Jan '22

As we juggle with an interesting start to 2022 and process the address changes supplied through the National Change of Address (NCOA) process, we are postponing the change to 7 years on inactivity on patron records as qualifying criteria. The monthly report you receive in your BLUEcloud Analytics History Log will reflect those patron records eligible for removal the following month, if no action is taken by the library to update the patrons Last Activity Date (LAD). See our documentation on the Monthly Patron Record Purge<https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/87627> as a reminder of how to access these reports. Reminder: Do not override hold blocks
by SWAN Communications 04 Jan '22

04 Jan '22

Some libraries may need to temporarily adjust their hold policies to manage current conditions. Please remember to follow standard procedures when placing holds. Do not override any hold blocks as this will cause hold queue disruption. As libraries are facing challenges with staffing and potential closures, it is important to adhere to hold policies. Documentation on placing holds is available on the support site at https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/64692.
