Migration cleanup project

You will soon be receiving an Excel file of items that had a status of Lost, Lost & Paid, or Claims Returned in Millennium. Because Symphony does not have an equivalent field many of these items were migrated with a current location matching the home location. When these items were migrated a staff note was created to explain the status. We will email the lists to your library's generic email address along with instructions on how to process them. network outage

SWAN Libraries - The RAILS building experienced a core switch failure causing loss of service to Email, Phone, Polycom, and RAILS server and computer network. When the switch was rebooted, this caused a short SWAN outage. RAILS has restored service and will continue to monitor the equipment. Libraries should be able to connect to WorkFlows at this time. **RESOLVED** WorkFlows Outage

SWAN Member Library Staff: This morning, we experienced spike in the Symphony Production server load average that caused many clients to disconnect from WorkFlows. The runaway processes have been corrected, and the system is now operating as expected. We apologize for the inconvenience and do not anticipate additional spikes for the remainder of the day. WorkFlows Update Prompt Following Upgrade to 3.5.1.1

SWAN Member Library & Information Technology Staff: We've received several inquiries over a persisting "update needed" prompt after completing the upgrade to WorkFlows 3.5.1.1. While the issue appears to be sporadic, we have released a patched MSI package that will ensure it does not occur with any installations moving forward. * If you haven't already completed the upgrade installations at your library, please only perform the installation using the latest MSI provided on the support site below. https://support.swanlibraries.net/content/software-downloads * If you've already completed upgrades and are experiencing the "update needed" prompt, we've released a quick patch that should resolve the issue without uninstalling/reinstalling. This upgrade will require intermittent downtime throughout the overnight hours, and the Enterprise OPAC My Account functions will also be inaccessible during this time. A banner will be posted to the Enterprise homepage to notify patrons. Similarly to past ILS server upgrades, a new WorkFlows client will be required to take advantage of the new features and bug fixes; however, this client upgrade is not required until AFTER the server upgrade has been completed on 7/12. Following the upgrade and go-live on 7/12, your current 3.5.0 WorkFlows client will continue to function as expected - you simply will not have access to the new features and bug fixes. That being the case, there is no rush to complete the installation immediately afterward.
