The wait is over! Monthly WorkFlows circulation statistical reports that are on the SWAN website can now be produced in BLUEcloud Analtycs (BCA) at your convenience. The reports can be found on the BLUEcloud Analytics website<https://na1-microstrategy.bc.sirsidynix.net/bcanalytics/asp/Main.aspx?evt=3…> under Shared Reports>SWAN reports>Circulation Statistics. These reports have been created with date range prompts so you can define the exact dates for the reports.
We have created documentation explaining which reports are available and how to run them. Please see the attached document.

It has come to our attention that an error in the Circulation Map may have assigned some DVD boxed sets (types DVD_BOXNEW and DVD_BOXSET) the wrong Circulation Rule if checked out any day between Friday, 2/10 and today. The items have been checking out for a two-week loan with a $2 fine rate. If this does not match your local policy, your items may have been affected.
This error was discovered and corrected today but will not be effective until tomorrow, Tuesday, 2/14 due to our nightly halt and run of the system. Please continue to monitor any checkouts and extend due dates appropriately, but be aware that any items returned late will generate a $2-per-day fine which must be manually adjusted.
We have run a list of affected checkouts from Friday, 2/10 to Sunday 2/12, paged by checkout/charging library. This document will not list any affected checkouts from today. Please view the attachment and find the tab along the bottom for your library. If you do not see your library's tab in the attachment, you were not affected by this error.

Overdue notice reports that will run on Tuesday, February 7th are configured to enact a minor "clean-up" effort to bill a small number of patrons that have had materials over 42 days past due but have not yet been billed. Only users that should have already been billed automatically for assumed-lost-items will be impacted. Please be aware that some of your users may see a bill notice after the report is run tomorrow.
Following the clean-up, we will continue to carefully monitor our billing reports to ensure the process remains uninterrupted.

RAILS/SWAN Planned Network Outage on Fri, Feb 3rd at 11pm

We've received notice from RAILS and ICN that network maintenance is scheduled for a provider site in Chicago this Friday, February 3rd, beginning at 11pm. The maintenance and associated outage is expected to last no longer than 20 minutes.
The site affected provides network access to many of our SWAN libraries and to the SWAN/RAILS datacenter itself, so SWAN and many individual libraries will be impacted during that brief period.
The following SWAN services will be impacted during the outage:
- Symphony Server
* All WorkFlows access (cataloging, circulation, etc)
* SIP2 3rd Party Vendor Integration (databases, electronic media)
* SIP2 Hardware/Software Integration (AMH, self-check, PC reservation, print release)
- Enterprise
* My Account Features
* Commerce
* Item Availability
- Bookmyne
- MobileCirc
Again, this outage is planned from 11pm-11:20pm on Friday night, so it should not affect libraries during normal operating hours. In the unlikely event that the outage should extend beyond the anticipated timeframe considerably, we'll issue an updated SWANcom to alert morning staff.

We will be conducting our annual patron purge on January 17, 2017. The purge will remove any patron that meets the following criteria:
* No checkouts or bills (including overdue fines)
* Expiration date of earlier than 01/01/2014 (expired 3 or more years)
OR
* No checkouts or bills (including overdue fines)
* Last Activity Date earlier than 01/01/2010 (no activity in 7 or more years)
In the attached reports you will find lists of your patrons that meet either the expiration date or Last Activity Date criteria but have bills. Please let us know by January 13, 2017 if you would like us to cancel bills for patrons who are under the $5.00 or $10.00 threshold.

During a regular purge of finished system reports this morning, all SVA Failed Call Reports were mistakenly removed from the Symphony server. Future reports will continue to populate in Finished Reports, as expected, but archived reports from today and back have unfortunately been removed from the server.
Fortunately, I and several SWAN staff do have archived email copies of these reports that we'd be happy to send out to libraries that may need them. By the end of the day, I'll be sending last night's failed call reports to any libraries having failed SVA calls on Tuesday. These reports will be delivered to the library's associated aliased email address (aaa(a)notices.swanlibraries.net<mailto:aaa@notices.swanlibraries.net>). If you need any specific SVA failed call reports dating back beyond Tuesday, however, please send us a request at help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net> and we'll send along the archived report asap.

This maintenance at 10pm tonight on our hosted Enterprise was requested by SirsiDynix from the Software-as-a-Service (SaaS) Team. They indicated it was urgent. It will bring all of SWAN's Enterprise down for a period, perhaps an hour at the most. We will send out updates via SWANcom.
