SWAN Member Libraries: Tinley Park Public Library is undergoing a major first floor renovation where nearly all adult materials will be unavailable from mid-July to mid-August. By Monday, July 17, all adult Tinley Park Public Library materials will have a Home Location of Unavailable in WorkFlows and Enterprise. Beginning July 17th and throughout the renovation, the lobby will offer some new and recently-returned materials. The 2nd floor's Youth Services collection will be entirely unaffected. UPDATED RESOLUTION BLUEcloud Analytics Renewals Statistics Incorrect

When we resolved the issue with auto renewals it inadvertently pulled in circulation statistics for generic users. We have now resolved this issue and updated all of the circulation statistics on the SWAN support site. If you use BLUEcloud Analytics (BCA) circulation statistics reports that include generic users you do not have to do anything. If you do not use these reports you will have to rerun your reports for an accurate count. We believe this error to be the result of conflicting Enterprise eRC tasks (digital record imports), which ultimately caused our full harvest to be terminated by another internal system task. This error caused only a fraction of the Symphony catalog to display in Enterprise on Saturday, which is when SWAN staff, working in conjunction with SirsiDynix support, issued a manual harvest task during the day to achieve a full catalog sync. While Saturday’s manual harvest did succeed, the automated overnight harvest task has continued to operate sporadically, to the point that we decided to pause the task, and an associated system sync agent in order to maintain our last full, successful harvest data from Saturday. This means that any catalog changes (item additions, removals, or edits) that have occurred in Symphony since Saturday are not currently being reflected in the Enterprise catalog, and will not be reflected until our next successful harvest. Additionally, the pausing of the sync agent has also caused issues with BLUECloud Analytics, in that requested report data is not being returned. This issue does not affect Enterprise item availability, patron account data, or access to the My Account functions. It also does not affect any functions of Symphony/WorkFlows. This is only related to specific titles and records as they appear in the Enterprise catalog and BCA report functions. Moving forward, we’re working on a plan with SirsiDynix to restructure our harvest schedules to get the full catalog sync back on track for tomorrow morning, and we hope to resume functions to restore BCA later today. Recent Issues with Enterprise & Symphony

SWAN Membership- I just wanted to let everyone know that we continue to work with SirsiDynix support staff in determining the cause of our Enterprise harvests going awry. The SWAN IT staff have been very communicative about the issues and the services impacted. While we attempt to avoid downtime or disruptions during library business hours, occasionally the unexpected occurs. SWAN IT are working hard with SirsiDynix support to determine the cause of Enterprise harvest issues. I have confidence in the process and how SWAN staff and SirsiDynix are responding. We believe this error to be the result of conflicting Enterprise eRC tasks (digital record imports), which ultimately caused our full harvest to be terminated by another internal system task. This error caused only a fraction of the Symphony catalog to display in Enterprise on Saturday, which is when SWAN staff, working in conjunction with SirsiDynix support, issued a manual harvest task during the day to achieve a full catalog sync. While Saturday’s manual harvest did succeed, the automated overnight harvest task has continued to operate sporadically, to the point that we decided to pause the task, and an associated system sync agent in order to maintain our last full, successful harvest data from Saturday. This means that any catalog changes (item additions, removals, or edits) that have occurred in Symphony since Saturday are not currently being reflected in the Enterprise catalog, and will not be reflected until our next successful harvest. Additionally, the pausing of the sync agent has also caused issues with BLUECloud Analytics, in that requested report data is not being returned. This issue does not affect Enterprise item availability, patron account data, or access to the My Account functions. It also does not affect any functions of Symphony/WorkFlows. This is only related to specific titles and records as they appear in the Enterprise catalog and BCA report functions. Moving forward, we’re working on a plan with SirsiDynix to restructure our harvest schedules to get the full catalog sync back on track for tomorrow morning, and we hope to resume functions to restore BCA later today.
