We have updated our Symphony server with the changes needed to switch from FTP to SFTP file transfer with Libraria. Libraries using Libraria as a vendor will need to update their vendor records. We have two upcoming Hoopla updates to be aware of.
Hoopla Maintenance – May 6 (1:00–4:00 a.m. CT) Hoopla will undergo planned maintenance on May 6 from 1:00–4:00 a.m. CT. During this time, Hoopla access will be unavailable; patrons may see login errors unrelated to their accounts, reporting will be delayed, and catalog/API updates may be briefly delayed. A downtime banner is already scheduled to appear in Aspen during that time.

Hoopla Flex Launch – May 12 Hoopla Flex will be activated for our library on May 12, expanding access to select high‑demand titles through Flex borrows.

The Aspen 26.04 release is live. This release includes enhancements to the Palace Project integration, which is now enabled for all participating e-read libraries. You should see your Palace Project titles appear in your catalogs by the end of day.

The MessageBee portal and notification service will be down for maintenance this coming Saturday, April 18th from 3:00 p.m. Central time for approximately 10 hours.
This will affect access to the portal. SWAN has also rescheduled some weekend notifications to accommodate the downtime. All weekend notifications will be sent.

Our indexes in Aspen are running slower than usual, due to the updates overnight to our Hoopla API.
Changes to item availability (checked out and on shelf status) may not appear throughout the day, and changes to records or new records may not appear. The indexes in the catalog are currently running slow due to changes to the Hoopla APIs. We expect the indexes to catch up over the next 24-48 hours. Search, Holds, My Account, and other functionality are not impacted.
We will post updates to the known issue<https://swanlibraries.net/issue/95094> <https://swanlibraries.net/issue/95094> and send an all clear when indexes have returned to normal processing times.

Dear Member Libraries,
We are writing to inform you that the rollout for the Hoopla Enhancement in the online catalog will begin tonight, April 13th.
What's Changing
Each library will have its own Instant collection, with settings visible and synchronized through Midwest Tape. Please note that any settings configured in Aspen will continue to override Midwest Tape settings. While this update changes how each library's collection is brought into Aspen, there will be no visible changes for patrons.
Rollout Details
No downtime is expected, and library services should remain uninterrupted throughout the transition.
