Please look for the email subject "SWAN Quarterly Meeting login information below - Do Not Forward" for the information to vote at the Thursday, September 2nd meeting at 10 a.m. this week. If you are unable to attend and wish to have a voting designee, please contact me directly. I would be able to add the designee individually to the voting system. This meeting will be held virtually. We originally did plan to meet in person but based on the pandemic in our region it makes sense to continue to utilize our ability to meet online. To that end, we will be using a new system for online voting. The meeting next week does include a presentation of a requested consulting expense as recommended by the SWAN Board, and we will bring a budget amendment forward for approval. The expense is outlined in the meeting packet and there will be a presentation and discussion. Here is the meeting link where the packet is posted on SWAN Support's Meetings & Documents page: https://support.swanlibraries.net/meeting/82153 Instructions on how the online voting process works is included in the packet. The vote will take place at the meeting, and it is interactive as well as secure. No one will be able to vote unless they have their individual login and URL. The serial controls can be transferred to the new records once 2021 issues are no longer expected. See Transferring a Control Record<https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/66563>. Quick reminders: * Weeklies use Chronology only, except for the academic journals JAMA and The New England Journal of Medicine. * Do not attach the Consumer Reports Buying Guide to the Consumer Reports serial record. The Buying Guide gets a new monographic record every year. * Do not attach Crain's Book of Lists to Crain's Chicago Business serial record. Crain's Book of Lists also gets a new monographic record every year. As soon as Consumer Reports Buying Guide 2022 and Crain's Book of Lists 2022 are available, we will add the records. Planned Enterprise Server Maintenance/Downtime on Tues, Aug 10 2021 at 11:00 p.m.

SirsiDynix will be performing planned maintenance on the Enterprise catalog server on Tuesday, August 10th at 11:00 p.m. This maintenance will require intermittent downtime throughout the process and is expected to take no longer than an hour.
