SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff:
On Sunday evening at 7:30pm, the Symphony Production Server will be taken offline for routine system maintenance. We expect this maintenance should last no longer than 1 hour.
This planned outage will not impact the Enterprise Catalog, however, WebServices features and other WorkFlows functions will be unavailable for the duration of the update.
The following services will be impacted by this outage:
* All WorkFlows/Symphony functions
* Enterprise OPAC Hold and My Account functions
* Enterprise OPAC Item Availability
* Enterprise OPAC Ecommerce
* BookMyne
* MobileCirc
Member libraries will be notified prior to the outage and again when the system updates have finished.

The issue is now resolved, and was related to a runaway report format function on the Symphony server. All report functions in WorkFlows, including acquisitions, have been restored.

We have set the date of our membership meeting for our FY17 budget draft review on Tuesday, February 9th at 9:30am, in the main meeting room at Burr Ridge. Because we are no longer holding monthly Committee of the Whole meetings, this meeting will serve to review the FY17 budget document to date and share feedback and questions. The budget will then be voted upon during the March Quarterly meeting as it usually is.

ICN will be retiring their old DNS servers on January 31.To accommodate this change, SWAN will be making the necessary changes to the 26 libraries that are currently using the ICN DNS settings on their SonicWalls.
This change should not impact daily operations or result in any downtime, and we expect the updates to be completed by Friday, January 22.

Northlake has advised SWAN that their HVAC problem is more extensive than originally thought. They hope to re-open on the 19th. Northlake will update SWAN with more information as we get closer to the 19th.
