Attached is a document outlining a procedure that can be used when a patron reports an RB/ILL item damaged or lost before the bill has been generated. SWAN Membership: I am sad to announce Rebecca Malinowski is leaving SWAN. I am happy to say she is moving to another library consortium! She will be joining CCS as their new Member Services Manager. Tonight between 9pm-10pm, we plan on migrating our Symphony Web Services to the latest version, with hopes that this will resolve ongoing E-Commerce issues and improve other various functions within Enterprise. While an hour of downtime is scheduled, we're hoping the actual downtime will be less than 10 minutes. Gift #6 --- Spanish and Polish Language Notices --- We are pleased to announce that on Feb. 1st, SWAN will begin sending Notices in Spanish and Polish. Receiving notices in foreign languages is based upon your patron supplying a language preference in their Workflows user record. To update a user record, bring up the record in "Modify User". On the Demographics tab, choose the correct preferred language from the dropdown. If you need a language that isn't listed in the dropdown, please open a ticket. Please note: This feature is different from the Default Language in "My Account" in Enterprise, that language option refers to the catalog interface default language. Happy Holidays! *Important* "Heading Keys Need to be Indexed First" error message

SWAN Member Library and Cataloging Staff: We have received reports of library staff receiving the "Heading Keys Need to be Indexed First" error message in several situations including when attempting to add items or display pre-cats that were created yesterday. This appears to be related to the earlier issue of one of our critical system maintenance reports unexpectedly running long last night. We are working with SirsiDynix to resolve the issue. Until further notice, it is advised not to enter new pre-cats as existing pre-cats may not be displayed and this might create duplicate records. You may also encounter difficulty adding items to bibliographic records. We hope to have this resolved as soon as possible. Thank you for your patience.
