Reminder: Two SWAN Strategic Planning Meetings, 8/1 and 8/2

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators, SWAN is creating a 5-year strategic plan for the organization. Two membership "town hall" meetings will take place. These will be facilitated by Constulting Within Reach. We invite you all to register, attend, and share your thoughts on library trends, community needs, and what you think SWAN should focus on over the next 5 years. July Quarterly Billing Available

You will note that the July Billing does not include any credits or debits for Unpaid Lost library material. This is due to the August, 2017 Circ Policy<https://support.swanlibraries.net/system/files/Members%20Only/Circulation%2…> revision Section 4.g: "Reimbursement for non-returned lost materials will be 365 days after due date and processed on a quarterly basis." Which effectively postpones reimbursement for these types of lost items until October, 2018. If you do not have access to the BCA reports, please open a ticket at help(a)swanlibraries.net<mailto:help@swanlibraries.net> and we will send you the Excel file. In addition, we will have a BCA login created for you and supply you with the documentation you need to access these files in the future. **RESOLVED** Call Numbers Changed in Tuesday's Batchload

We have successfully run the fix to call numbers affected by Tuesday's batchload. Call numbers and classification policies that were changed by the load have been restored to their state as of the morning of July 3rd. Please note that items added on July 3rd may have been affected, but were not included in the fix. If you use auto-generated call numbers for on-order records or XX call numbers for serials, items added Tuesday may require manual cleanup. If you would like a list of items added on July 3rd along with their call numbers and locations, please send a ticket to the attention of the Bibliographic Services team, and they can provide this for you. Let us know if you experience any further problems with call numbers. So if you ran month-end reports earlier this week, data from June 30th was available earlier and your reports should accurately reflect activity. **UPDATED** Call Numbers Changed in Tuesday's Batchload

We have generated the necessary fix for the call number issue that has affected some serial and on-order records. With the current technical issues we are experiencing, however, we will not be running these changes until tomorrow (Friday) morning. The fix is expected to affect 52,000 items, after which we will assess whether further work is required. Again, thank you all for your patience while we resolve this.
