SWAN Libraries + app updates

Good afternoon member libraries, Several over-the-air updates have been attempted for the app, but we're not seeing signs that the app is updating automatically. Patrons may still get an automatic update of their app over the next few days if they have automatic app updates enabled on their devices. At this time, we recommend communicating to patrons that they will need to manually update the app. SWAN will post a system message banner to the web catalog as well. Aspen server migration complete

Good morning member libraries, The Aspen server migration completed overnight, and the SWAN Libraries + app is available for an update in the app stores. If you see any messaging indicating the catalog is in maintenance mode, please refresh your browser. At this time, it does not appear that the over-the-air update for the app, which would have automatically updated the app for patrons when they open it, was successful. We will work with our support vendor today to see if another attempt is possible. Reminder: Aspen server migration Tuesday 3/25

Good morning member libraries, Our Aspen server migration is Tuesday, March 25th. This migration will not impact access to WorkFlows or e-resources. * March 24th: SWAN will post system message banners to the catalog and app in the afternoon for patrons. * March 25th: The Aspen catalog will go into maintenance mode at 4PM. WorkFlows is not affected. * Catalog search will be available * My account functions and current item statuses will not be available * March 26th: We will go live on our new server; patrons using the app will need to update their app and re-login. We are hoping we can trigger an automatic app update for patrons when they open the app, but we don't have confirmation this is possible. SWAN will also post a message on the "old" version of the app to prompt users to update. SWAN 3/6/25 Quarterly meeting - budget presentation & approval

Hello SWAN library directors & administrators- We have our first Quarterly membership meeting for 2025 next week at Oak Brook Public Library, Thursday, March 6th at 10:00 a.m. The approval of the SWAN budget will take place in person at the meeting, with a roll call vote for representative from each SWAN member library. National Change of Address Processing Complete
