IMPORTANT: RAILS Delivery - To Do and Clarification

We've created a detailed news post to remind everyone to Be sure to notify RAILS re: Delivery<https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2020-06/74789>. The post provides a checklist to follow. A return to delivery does not mean that SWAN's resource sharing has returned in full swing. We are still working on coordinating when and how to bring libraries back to full resource sharing capacity. But, in the meantime, delivery can and should resume if possible. This will faciliate the return of items to the owning library as material continues to be returned throughout the membership. RAILS must be notified to make your special deliveries June 17/18 & June 24/25, as well as resuming regular delivery. COVID-19 Director Survey: Resuming Resource Sharing

During our Fireside/Poolside Chat<https://support.swanlibraries.net/covid-19/fireside-chats> on Tuesday we had a discussion on when libraries would be able to return to full resource sharing system configurations. RAILS delivery will resume regular schedules, starting June 29th. Initially as delivery resumes, items will be returned to owning libraries. We need to determine when it is feasible to return to full resource sharing of items between SWAN libraries and we ask for your input. Online Voting Open for Admitting Glenside, Roselle, and Warrenville Public Library Districts

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators- The online voting to admit three libraries Glenside, Roselle, and Warrenville to join SWAN is now open. SWAN PPE Online Ordering Now Live

SWAN Library Directors & Administrators- The ability to order some PPE supplies from SWAN is now available online. The order form is now posted for our stock of face shields, masks, gloves, 1 gallon sanitizer, and hand gel. SWAN's PPE page (requires membership login): https://support.swanlibraries.net/documentation/71395 These are for curbside pick up only at SWAN headquarters Tuesdays and Thursdays 12-3pm. You will arrange the pick up date and time within the online order form. This will be contactless pickup-you arrive at the SWAN headquarters foyer and Ginny Blake will have the packed up order waiting for you! There is no mark-up on the pricing-this is volume discounted orders we are breaking down into smaller quantities for you. The library will be invoiced by SWAN in a few weeks for items ordered and picked up. Pricing is listed within the online order form. Planned Enterprise Server Maintenance/Downtime on May 26th at 3AM

Curbside Communicator from Unique provided by SWAN

Hi everyone, I shared at the SWAN fireside chat on Tuesday that we were considering Curbside Communicator from Unique Management. Today I approved an agreement with Unique to provide this to all member libraries that would like to use it for your planned curbside. SWAN will fund this for any member library that opts-in.
