Aspen release 25.08 is live

You may encounter record issues throughout the day until the next successful run of the ADUText report. To clarify, only item records (not patron records) should be affected. We've reached out to SirsiDynix with hopes to mitigate some of the record issues as soon as possible. Long Running Overnight Processing Reports

SWAN Member Libraries Staff: We’re currently monitoring a long-running overnight maintenance report, ADUText, which is creating delays to the morning report schedule. As ADUText and the subsequent overnight maintenance reports continue processing, you may encounter several errors: * “Heading keys need to be indexed” when accessing an item record * Item records are unsearchable by title (but can be accessed by Standard Number) * Various general indexing errors when accessing or attempting to catalog item records Some of the processes that have not yet completed are: * Blocking of patrons for Fine Free overdue items * Billing process of items 42 days overdue * Cancelling of expired holds on the holdshelf * Compiling of holds for pull lists * Preparing and sending of notices Please refrain from pulling your expired holds from the holdshelf until we give the all clear. Scheduled Maintenance -- Rebuild Headings and Text Database Indexes Sunday, 8/31

These reports do take several hours to run so there may be a delay in the start of the standard reports for Labor Day Monday, September 1st. MobileStaff Kits Now Available

SWAN Member Library Staff: MobileStaff kits are available to request for library staff use. These kits contain an iPad, scanner, and printer and may be used to circulate material, issue cards, or conduct an inventory. If your library has been curious about MobileStaff's capabilities, this is a great opportunity to test out the equipment and see if MobileStaff might be a useful addition to your library's workflow. We have detailed the changes that will occur early Tuesday morning next week before libraries open. The news post linked below provides details on the URL and links that will change. Resolved: Issue with Hoopla in the catalog

Resolved: Intermittent Aspen log in issues

Our support vendor, Grove, implemented several measures to mitigate and block the DDoS attacks we were seeing. We've been monitoring the server and are no longer seeing issues. We're working with our support vendor, Grove, to explore all possibilities for mitigating and blocking these attacks.
