Hoopla Enhancement in Aspen - Rollout March 10

Dear Member Libraries, We are writing to inform you of an upcoming enhancement to Hoopla's consortia support within our shared library catalog. What's Changing Each library will have its own Instant collection, with settings visible and synchronized through Midwest Tape. Please note that any settings configured in Aspen will continue to override Midwest Tape settings. While this update changes how each library's collection is brought into Aspen, there will be no visible changes for patrons. Rollout Details This update is scheduled for March 10. SWAN Quarterly 3/5/26 meeting - budget presentation & approval

Hello Library Directors & Administrators- We have our first Quarterly membership meeting for 2026 this week at Oak Brook Public Library, Thursday, March 5th at 10:00 a.m. The approval of the SWAN budget will take place in person at the meeting, with a roll call vote for representatives from each SWAN member library. National Change of Address (NCOA) 2025

SWAN Member Library Staff: We have received the address change data from Unique and will be updating patron records starting today. The number of patron records sent for processing was 773,650. Of those, 24,352 were returned with address changes for a change rate of 3.2%. In preparation, we have temporarily disabled the Symphony function to update Last Activity Date when a patron's address information is changed. Once processing begins over the next couple of days, manual address changes may be overridden by this update.
