The intermittent issues with logging in to Aspen that we experienced last week should be resolved. Our support vendor, Grove, implemented several measures to mitigate and block the DDoS attacks we were seeing. We've been monitoring the server and are no longer seeing issues.

Good morning member libraries,
We're experiencing intermittent issues logging into Aspen, due to a DDoS attack that is just impacting login. We're working with our support vendor, Grove, to explore all possibilities for mitigating and blocking these attacks.
You may experience issues with logging in, lasting a few minutes, throughout the day.
We'll send an all clear when we are confident this issue is resolved. In the meantime, we'll continue to track the outages on our support site:

Good afternoon:
We would like to update our members regarding the recent challenges with our nightly indexing process. As you may recall, our bibliographic and authority service vendor, MARCIVE, unexpectedly ceased operations in December 2024. Since then, we have been unable to process our bibliographic and authority data according to our usual monthly schedule. With the start of our Backstage contract on July 1, we resumed our monthly schedule; however, this has introduced unforeseen difficulties in estimating the duration of our nightly indexing process. We are actively working behind the scenes to identify solutions that will allow the indexing process to handle the necessary data with minimal impact on your morning reports and processes. We appreciate the patience you have exhibited over the past few days and ask for more patience over the next several days as we complete the processing of the remaining data. We may experience further instances of overnight processing running into the morning.
The following processes will not be up to date until the overnight processing has completed:
Expired holds on the holdshelf
Hold pull lists
Blocking of patron records for overdue checkouts at Fine Free libraries
Billing of items 42 days overdue
Autorenewals
Notices
Please stay informed by checking the NEWS posts for regular updates on our nightly indexing status. We will be sure to post the all clear when we have finished.

We're currently monitoring a long-running overnight maintenance report, ADUText, which is creating delays to the morning report schedule. As ADUText and the subsequent overnight maintenance reports continue processing, you may encounter several errors:
* "Heading keys need to be indexed" when accessing an item record
* Item records are unsearchable by title (but can be accessed by Standard Number)
* Various general indexing errors when accessing or attempting to catalog item records
Some of the processes that have not yet completed are:
* Blocking of patrons for Fine Free overdue items
* Billing process of items 42 days overdue
* Cancelling of expired holds on the holdshelf
* Compiling of holds for pull lists
* Preparing and sending of notices
Please refrain from pulling your expired holds from the holdshelf until we give the all clear.

The issues with our exports to the catalog have been resolved, but you will notice discrepancies in the online catalog until a full index runs overnight.
Our indexes are now correctly processing item status changes and record updates, and any changes made after 9AM this morning, July 7th, will update in the catalog. The backlog of records will be processed overnight, and everything should be current tomorrow.
