[SWANcom] SWAN Board Election: Self-Nomination Now Open!

SWAN Library Directors and Administrators: We are pleased to announce the start of the 2014 SWAN Board election process. SWAN will have one open at-large position on the Board starting July 1, 2014. The SWAN Board is comprised of seven library directors elected from our SWAN member libraries. Board member responsibilities include: * Acting on issues affecting the long-term future of SWAN * Monitoring SWAN's finances and the overall financial health of SWAN * Maintaining open lines of communication with the SWAN membership Since our open seat is an at-large position, any director from groups A, B, or C can submit a statement of interest for this election. The goal is to have an open process and at the same time ensure that all SWAN membership is represented during elections. Our election process will run from Monday, May 5th through Friday, May 23rd at 5:00pm. The elected board member will be announced at the June 5th Quarterly Meeting.
