Scheduled Maintenance -- Rebuild Headings and Text Database Indexes Sunday, 8/31

Good afternoon, SWAN Member Library Staff: SWAN will be performing scheduled maintenance on our indexes this Sunday, August 31st, after all libraries are closed. These reports do take several hours to run so there may be a delay in the start of the standard reports for Labor Day Monday, September 1st. WorkFlows will not be available during the scheduled maintenance window. The Aspen online catalog will still be available for patrons. Have a great day! MobileStaff Kits Now Available

SWAN Member Library Staff: MobileStaff kits are available to request for library staff use. These kits contain an iPad, scanner, and printer and may be used to circulate material, issue cards, or conduct an inventory. If your library has been curious about MobileStaff's capabilities, this is a great opportunity to test out the equipment and see if MobileStaff might be a useful addition to your library's workflow. MobileStaff documentation is available on our support site<https://swanlibraries.net/documentation/94943>. To place a title-level hold, the kits are listed in WorkFlows as SWAN MobileStaff Kit. These cases will arrive locked, and the combination will be displayed in a circ note when the item is scanned. Please notify SWAN Support if you encounter any issues accessing the case. Thanks! Online Patron Registration Is Live!

Our Online Patron Registration Tool, powered by Patron Point, is live! The SWAN-hosted registration form is available for you to use, or you can embed the form on your own websites. You do not have to use the tool to register patrons or promote it, but you should become familiar with how it works. To membership- The SWAN support site is moving! It will now be located at swanlibraries.net. The support.swanlibraries.net URL will begin redirecting on Tuesday, August 25th. We have detailed the changes that will occur early Tuesday morning next week before libraries open. The news post linked below provides details on the URL and links that will change.
