SWAN Quarterly Meeting at Burr Ridge - Agenda & Packet for 3/2 Now Online

SWAN Member Libraries: The March Quarterly agenda and packet (26 pages) for this Thursday's meeting are now available for you: https://support.swanlibraries.net/sites/default/files/meeting/2017-03-02/pa… The meeting will be live streamed as well, at http://live.railslibraries.info Please note, we will be voting on our FY18 budget on Thursday and the vote will be a roll-call amongst member libraries in attendance at Burr Ridge. If you intend to represent your library in this vote, please plan to be at Burr Ridge for the meeting. Also, you are all invited to join us for an Open House with light refreshments and tours at our new office space, 800 Quail Ridge Drive in Westmont (about a 10 minute drive from RAILS Burr Ridge) immediately to follow the Quarterly meeting. *Resolved* Enterprise OPAC Instability 2/20

SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff: SirsiDynix support identified an abnormal memory usage from the Tomcat and JBoss services on our Enterprise server which caused the instability we witnessed earlier. SirsiDynix support has since restarted those two services and the server now seems to be operating as expected. We'll continue to monitor the situation throughout the night and provide additional updates should any come up. We're in contact with SirsiDynix Support now, and expect them to restart an Enterprise system service within the next 15 minutes. During that time, the OPAC will be very briefly unavailable, but it should resolve the instability. We'll send an additional SWANcoms as soon as the restart has occurred. SWAN Member Library Staff: Just a quick reminder that ICN will be performing scheduled network maintenance this evening beginning at 11PM. This maintenance window is not expected to last longer than one hour. The following services will be impacted during the outage. - Symphony Server * All WorkFlows access (cataloging, circulation, etc) * SIP2 3rd Party Vendor Integration (databases, electronic media) * SIP2 Hardware/Software Integration (AMH, self-check, PC reservation, print release) - Enterprise * My Account Features * Commerce * Item Availability - Bookmyne - MobileCirc Thank you for your patience. The maintenance and associated outage is expected to last no longer than one hour. The site affected provides network access to many of our SWAN libraries and to the SWAN/RAILS datacenter itself, so SWAN and many individual libraries will be impacted during that brief period.
