Just to clarify, this test should be performed on EVERY computer that will be circulating
materials.
This is necessary to download specific policy files from our production server that will
be essential for the three days of offline. These files are downloaded with a successful
login to the production server.

Subject: [SwanTech] *REMINDER* Migration Memo #14: WorkFlows Offline & Login Test Day
(Tomorrow, April 1st)
Importance: High
SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff:
This is just a quick reminder of the upcoming WorkFlows Offline & Login Test Day
occurring tomorrow.
As you perform offline testing at your library, please keep the following points in
mind...
* Your offline test and login can be performed anytime during library business
hours (6am-10pm) on April 1st.
* Your library should attempt an offline test on EVERY computer that will be
circulating materials during the 3 days of offline (April 11th-13th).
* Any staff member that will be circulating materials during the 3 days of offline
(April 11th-13th) is strongly encouraged to participate in this test and survey.
* As each offline test is completed by staff in your library, a new FormSite survey
should be submitted at the link below...
(
https://fs8.formsite.com/SWANServices/form182/index.html). The survey will
close at 11:59pm on April 1st.
* Multiple surveys can be submitted for each library, but every library must
perform the offline test and submit at least ONE survey. SWAN support will be contacting
your library for follow-up if no survey is submitted.
* Production server logins were distributed to library directors via SWAN Memo #15.
Please refer to the following link for additional information on obtaining your logins...
https://support.swanlibraries.net/news/2015-03-28/swan-migration-memo-15-wo…
* If you are unable to test your login on April 1st, you won't have another
chance until go-live. The Symphony production server will be inaccessible from April 2nd
until the 13th. (Test server will remain online)
* After a successful login to the production server and survey submission, no
further action is required. SWAN will not be distributing individual offline error logs
for this test.
If you have any questions/comments about the Offline Test Day, please submit a ticket to
the SWAN support team at

Subject: Migration Memo #14: WorkFlows Offline & Login Test Day
SWAN Member Libraries & Information Technology Staff:
Please see the linked Migration Memo #14, "WorkFlows Offline & Login Test
Day", and route to your appropriate library and IT staff. This memo details the
process for an upcoming WorkFlows & Login Test Day, which is a mandatory test to
ensure your library is prepared for the offline days (April 11th-13th) leading to go-live.
The test requires library staff members to perform a short series of circulation tasks in
Offline Mode, followed by a login to the Production Server to upload data and verify your
login is working correctly. Logins to the Production Server will be distributed in a memo
to be released later this week.
