Planned SWAN Network Outage on Dec 2 at 10:15pm

SWAN Member Libraries and Information Technology Staff: To accommodate a scheduled ICN upgrade, SWAN will experience a brief network outage on Tuesday, December 2nd at 10:15pm. We expect that the outage should last no longer than a few minutes, but this may be long enough to disrupt connectivity to your SIP2 connected devices and other 3rd party services. Additionally, the SWAN catalog and Millennium clients will be unavailable briefly during the outage. Please plan accordingly for this outage and be sure to check your 3rd party services and hardware the following morning. Holiday Closing

New YouTube tutorial troubleshooting your Mentor experience

++ Please share with appropriate personnel ++ Everyone - In talking to member library staff recently we have identified two issues that may impact staff user experience with Mentor. They are both related to the browser : * pop-up blocker * compatibility settings As to your choice of browser, according to SirsiDynix the preferred browser is Internet Explorer. However, a number of our libraries have reported success using Firefox. Lauren has created a short YouTube tutorial on updating your compatibility settings in Explorer along with how to turn off your pop-up blocker. *Action Required* Library Enterprise Configuration & Pick Up Anywhere

To SWAN Member Libraries: This is a fun survey. You get to select a theme for the Enterprise OPAC we are building for your library, upload your library logo, and supply some information about your library preferences for the new catalog. There are a number of areas of the survey we anticipate requires some discussion within your library. To assist with this discussion among your staff, the survey is enabled to allow saving in draft form and retrieving it later for completion. In case it isn't clear, there is only one submission per library. Please complete the following survey on Enterprise by End of Business on Friday November 28th. This survey will help SWAN staff as we move forward in the building your new library catalog.
