New template for bill notices starting on June 18th.

Everyone- Dave Pacin of SWAN Member Services has developed a new template for patron bills. The SWAN Circ Advisory Committee reviewed the template at their last meeting, made a few suggestions, and it is now ready for use. We will begin using the new bill next Wednesday, June 18th. I have attached a sample so you can view it now. It is formatted to work with either a single or double window envelope. There is new information in the footer on each bill, including the patron's barcode, ptype, item location, and whether it is a local, reciprocal borrowing, or ILL transaction. Don't be concerned, we are not changing the manner in which we distribute these bills, they will be handled as you have directed us previously. SWAN June Quarterly Presentation Posted

SWAN Libraries: The SWAN Executive Director report from the June 5 Quarterly meeting is now available online. https://support.swanlibraries.net/sites/default/files/meeting/2014-06-05/SW… The live streaming of the event was successful with around 45 concurrent viewers throughout the entire meeting. We noted a few areas for improvement with the sound and some of the presenter devices (SirsiDynix challenged us by bringing 4 different types of devices that were used through the demonstration). We look forward to more online events broadcast from Burr Ridge. SWAN Member Libraries: We just wanted you to be aware that our July and August Committee of the Whole meetings ARE being held off-site, rather than at Burr Ridge as noted on Aaron's presentation today. SWAN Member Libraries: The SWAN Board election for its at-large representative concluded on Friday 5/23 and David Seleb of the Oak Park Public Library was elected to a 3-year term. Please congratulate David and thank the directors who ran in this board election: Anne Kozak from Thomas Ford Library and Tammy Clausen from Berwyn Public Library. One more reminder that SWAN will have its June Quarterly meeting in RAILS Burr Ridge on Thursday June 5th at 9:30AM. This meeting we will try something new which will be a live video stream of the event.
