SWAN Board,
The discussion item #10 "Proposed SWAN Network Administrator Position" on the agenda for tomorrow purposely did not have the position description in the packet. This was so that I could send it to you all separately as an attachment without creating a lot of questions from our IT contractor Versatile CSI.

Only Brande and I can release an email held in moderation. This is more or less to ensure SWAN is following OMA properly and to avoid electronic conversations beyond a length that would violate OMA. The SWAN Board packet was updated starting on PDF page 14, which is Exhibit C4 of my Executive Director report. I wanted to make sure the section on membership email forums was updated to reflect some of what I learned about the CCS Illinois consortium's use of these email lists.

The agenda was revised to include an agenda discussion item #9 "SWAN Space Needs." Dee Brennan has requested she attend this discussion. Dee contacted Rich Wolff during my vacation regarding the June report, but this was not incorporated into the board agenda.

Hi SWAN Board,

Hello SWAN Board:
I met with Anne Slaughter today to discuss this upcoming meeting in further detail. Additionally, documentation was provided to me, which I have attached to the email. I combined the docs into an AM session and PM session packet, but if you'd like them broken down I do have them in individual format as well.
During our meeting, Anne did stress to me that the LLSAP definition changes are relatively minor, which you can see in the documentation. She noted that any other changes will only begin preliminary discussions at the PM session, but this would be a collaborative debate between all affected parties. Additionally, she noted that if anything does change with regard to RAILS support to LLSAPs in the future, it would be a change from in kind to direct financial support (i.e. if services were no longer offered, financial support would be given instead).
Anne invites you to email her or call her if you have any specific questions. If you would like to attend and have not already contacted me (or would like to no longer attend), please let me know ASAP so that I can update L2.
